IntraPower acquires AlchemyIT PDF

 Image  IntraPower acquires AlchemyIT

Effective 1 March 2008, publicly listed company IntraPower (ASX code: IPX) acquired 100% of the shares in AlchemyIT.

IntraPower is a national ISP with sales and support offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. IntraPower provides similar internet based services as those currently offered by AlchemyIT. However, they also have a far broader range of services which would suit many of AlchemyIT’s customers as they look to upgrade their services and support infrastructure. Please take a look at IntraPower’s web site at www.intrapower.com.au

So what changes?

  • Office Move

The AlchemyIT’s offices in Crows Nest will be closing at the end of March and moving into IntraPower’s offices in Market Street in Sydney. Additional address details will be provided during the month. AlchemyIT’s customer contracts will not be affected in any way. Customers will still call into the company on the existing phone number, 1300 650 942.

  • Change of Billing Date

However, as we integrate our billing systems, all AlchemyIT’s customers will have their billing dates changed from their current anniversary billing date to be the 21st of each month. An initial invoice will be sent out which includes the pro-rata adjustments for this changeover.

  • Staff

Our general manager, Ian Ralston, which many of you have got to know will be joining the IntraPower team as will Sam Tian, our support engineer. Michele Short heads off to spend more time with her beautiful 4-year old daughter (actually, my Goddaughter) which she is really looking forward to. Paul Grashei will continue to focus on the software development aspects of the business.

 Farewell

On 1 June 1998 I purchased Ram Network Services, the original company before the name changed to AlchemyIT in 2004. The company has grown by over 400% and its value increased 15-fold. We have weathered the dot.com boom and bust of 2000 and have survived the hectic pace of change the industry threw at us. You, our customers, have made the journey worthwhile. We have got to know many of you personally and this has been the joy behind running the company. It is thus with some sadness that I now say farewell to you as I take on new opportunities. I am certain that the new team at IntraPower will provide equally excellent service and support. A ‘culture’ fit was important to me when I went to market looking for a new owner for AlchemyIT. And I am fully satisfied IntraPower fits the culture bill.

The IntraPower team welcomes you on board.

Kind regards,

Nigel
